On May 30, 1990, Midnight Oil paused its North American tour for a bold “special guerrilla action” in the heart of Manhattan. Performing from a flat-bed truck on Avenue of the Americas, the Australian band attracted over 10,000 people during the midday rush. This impromptu concert served as a powerful platform for the band to voice their concerns about the deteriorating state of the environment, blending activism with music in a striking display of urgency and passion.
