Plot
Set in a Budapest high school during the early 1960s, Dini navigates the challenges of adolescence amidst familial turmoil. With his father exiled after the 1956 uprising, Dini’s mother struggles to raise her two sons alone. The arrival of Bodor, a friend of Dini's father recently released from prison, disrupts their fragile home life. Both Dini and his brother resent this unwelcome presence, complicating their already strained relationship and intensifying their feelings of loss and frustration. The story poignantly explores themes of family, loyalty, and the struggle for identity during turbulent times.
