Plot

Twelve-year-old Henry Rowengartner has always dreamed of baseball, inspired by his late father's minor league career. After a freak accident results in a broken arm, Henry discovers an extraordinary talent: his healed tendon allows him to pitch at a staggering 103 mph. His remarkable abilities catch the eye of Larry "Fish" Fisher, the Chicago Cubs' general manager, when Henry impressively returns a home run ball from the bleachers. As the struggling Cubs look for a miracle, Henry might just be the young pitcher they desperately need to turn their fortunes around.
