Ulah Lippmann, a Holocaust survivor, is taken aback when she learns of a terrorist attack in her Melbourne neighborhood. Unbeknownst to her, she soon becomes a hostage to Sadiq Mohammed, a wounded Muslim radical seeking refuge after the bombing. As Sadiq hides in Ulah's apartment, a harrowing experience unfolds, compelling both of them to face their histories. Their relationship shifts, influenced by their dire circumstances, unexpected truths, and outside events. As fear and animosity give way to empathy, Ulah decides to care for Sadiq instead of turning him in, until she uncovers a shocking truth about him.
