Plot
Seven-year-olds Michael and Rachel share an unbreakable bond, promising to be friends “forever and ever.” Their innocent camaraderie, however, faces challenges in a community rife with religious intolerance. As an Irish Catholic and a Jewish girl, their friendship becomes a source of tension among the townsfolk.
