Plot
In the mid-1980s, three women, each accompanied by their attorneys, confront New York entertainment manager Morris Levy, claiming to be the widow of the legendary doo-wop singer Frankie Lyman. They include an L.A. singer from the Platters, a petty thief from Philadelphia, and a schoolteacher from Georgia, all seeking their share of royalties from Lyman's estate. As a civil trial unfolds, flashbacks reveal their turbulent relationships with the charming yet tragic performer, whose life spiraled due to heroin addiction. Through their shared struggles, the women gradually form a unique bond amidst the chaos.
