They include an L.A. singer from the Platters, a petty thief from Philadelphia, and a schoolteacher from Georgia, all seeking their share of royalties from Lyman's estate. As a civil trial unfolds, flashbacks reveal their turbulent relationships with the charming yet tragic performer, whose life spiraled due to heroin addiction.
