Storm Over Asia (1928)

Plot

In 1918, a naive Mongolian herdsman is swindled out of a prized fox fur by a European fur trader, leading to a violent confrontation that forces him into the hills. By 1920, he joins the Soviet partisans, battling against British forces occupying Mongolia. Captured while defending his fellow herders, he is shot, but an amulet revealing his lineage as a descendant of Genghis Khan is discovered when he is found alive. The British army, recognizing his potential, installs him as the leader of a puppet regime. Ultimately, he defies his controllers, unleashing his rage and reclaiming his agency.
