Plot

Set in 18th century Vienna, Maria Theresia von Paradis, a prodigious pianist and friend of Mozart, faces the challenge of blindness she suffered as a child. Her parents, eager to restore her sight, seek the expertise of Dr. Mesmer, an unconventional physician dedicated to her recovery. Through his pioneering methods involving magnetism, Maria begins to regain her vision. However, this newfound sight comes with a heartbreaking trade-off: her exceptional musical talent begins to fade, leaving her to grapple with the implications of her miraculous transformation.
