Plot

During Labor Day Weekend in picturesque coastal New England, a middle-aged playwright gathers his longtime friend, the iconic TV star Charlotte Christian, and fellow actor Jay Mulch to perform a reading of his latest work, "The Extinction of Fireflies." Inspired by the passionate love affair between Roman Emperor Hadrian and his youthful companion Antinous, the atmosphere shifts dramatically when Jay introduces his much younger partner, Callisto. As tensions rise and emotions flare, the gathering turns into a whirlwind of creativity and conflict, leading to explosive revelations and unexpected fireworks.
