Plot
Set in 198 AD, Prime Minister Cao Cao of the Han Dynasty triumphs over the legendary warrior Lu Bu, instilling fear among rival warlords. Years later, after gaining the trust of the Han Emperor, he proclaims himself King of Wei and constructs the impressive Bronze Sparrow Island, stirring rumors of his ambitions to usurp the throne. Meanwhile, young lovers Mu Shun and Ling Ju endure five harsh years in a hidden tomb, honing their skills as assassins for a covert mission. As 220 approaches, ominous celestial signs arise, prompting Cao's son to push for his father's ascension, while unseen enemies conspire against him.
