Plot

A group of friends in New York City communicate solely through phones and faxes, too preoccupied with their lives to meet in person. Gale attempts to set up Jerry and Barbara, who form a connection through their calls and faxes. Meanwhile, Martin receives an unexpected call from Denise, leading to an evolving friendship built on their phone conversations. As the group shares their aspirations and updates, tensions rise when Gale faces a phone mishap, Denise surprises Martin again, and Frank prepares for a lavish New Year's Eve bash, leaving his door's fate uncertain.
