Plot

Ronald Plasmeyer (Ruben Van Der Meer) is a struggling detective in Amsterdam, grappling with debt due to his gambling addiction. When the menacing Chinese crime lord Hao threatens his ex-wife and son for repayment, Ronald devises a scheme he believes will fix everything. He recruits two small-time crooks (Ton Kas and René Van 't Hof) to rob an underground poker tournament he's in, giving him a solid alibi. What seems like an easy, non-violent plan quickly spirals out of control as murders occur. Ronald’s partners abscond with the cash, leaving him broke, while his own colleagues begin to suspect him of the heist, leading to a tense game of cat and mouse. Ronald is all-in, but he's got the worst hand imaginable.
