Plot

Bob Conrad, the carefree son of wealthy town squire Charles, defies his father's expectations by falling for Dorothy McCarthy, the daughter of a struggling widow. Despite his father's pressure, Bob marries Sally Lace. However, Dorothy's heartache takes an unexpected turn when it is revealed that Sally's divorce from her ex-husband was never finalized, freeing Bob from the marriage. With new possibilities on the horizon, both Bob and Dorothy are given a chance to rekindle their romance, challenging societal norms and family expectations along the way.
