Plot

Kate is en route to Brisbane with her 18-year-old foster son, Warren, a Torres Strait Islander, to reunite him with his ailing birth mother, Flo. It's been years since Flo last saw Warren when he was taken by authorities after a hospital visit on Thursday Island. As the emotional meeting approaches, tensions rise, especially since Kate's parents, Keith and Dellmay, secretly have their own plans for this family reunion. Unbeknownst to the trio, their lives are about to intertwine in unexpected and challenging ways.
