Marta, a 25-year-old philosophy student, grapples with the harsh reality of Italy's job market, which offers little hope for her future. While babysitting for single mother Sonia, she takes a position as a telemarketer, quickly immersing herself in the cutthroat corporate culture that exploits its workers. As she climbs the ladder, she encounters a cast of colorful characters, including her misguided supervisor Daniela, the charming yet untrustworthy boss Claudio, the sensitive coworker Lucio "2," and the well-meaning but unreliable union representative Giorgio, all of whom shape her tumultuous journey.
