Plot
In the Edo period, renowned author Takizawa Bakin shares the captivating tale of eight warriors, each bearing a jewel, destined to confront the Satomi family's curse. His friend, the famed artist Katsushika Hokusai, becomes engrossed in Bakin's narrative, often visiting him to hear more of the unfolding saga, which fosters a unique bond between them. As Bakin dedicates nearly three decades to this epic, centered on the theme of justice triumphing over evil, he faces a challenge when his eyesight starts to fade just as the story nears its climax. An unexpected proposal from his daughter-in-law raises questions about the tale's completion.
