Plot
Chan Sau-ying, a fragile woman suffering from tuberculosis, endures relentless abuse from her callous husband. When Yi-wah, a compassionate new maid, learns of her suffering, they conspire to end his tyranny by murdering him one fateful night. After disposing of his remains in a nearby pond, Sau-ying begins to fear that his swollen corpse has returned from the depths, seeking retribution for their horrific act. As dread consumes her, the lines between reality and the supernatural blur, leading to chilling consequences.
