Plot

In 1967, a legendary squad of Victorian AFL stars, including icons like Barassi and Jesaulenko, embarked on an unprecedented journey to face County Meath, the All-Ireland champions. Most of these players had never traveled beyond Victoria and lacked passports. Driven by ex-umpire Harry Beitzel, who risked his home to fund the venture, the team embarked on a whirlwind tour across cities like Darwin, Hong Kong, and New York. "The Galahs" offers a unique glimpse into the early days of international competition, celebrating the rich legacies of both VFL and GAA football and its beloved legends.
