Plot
Barbara, a passionate young woman, rejects her wealthy weapons manufacturer father, Andrew Undershaft, by aligning herself with the Salvation Army. As she dedicates herself to helping the less fortunate, she catches the attention of Adolphus Cusins, a professor turned preacher. However, as time passes, Barbara's unwavering ideals start to waver, and she begins to reconsider her father's worldview. This internal conflict challenges her beliefs and forces her to confront the complexities of morality and social responsibility in a world where her father’s influence looms large.
