Zenica's air is thick with pollution, courtesy of a massive steel factory that releases toxic emissions relentlessly. Amidst this environmental crisis, Samir Lemes and fellow activists from Eko Forum bravely challenge the status quo, battling a corporation indifferent to human health and local politicians fixated on economic gain and re-election. Meanwhile, the EU, which partially funds the factory, ignores its responsibility to enforce environmental regulations, instead promoting Zenica as a ‘Green City Project’ while merely adding bicycle lanes. This poignant film critiques financial exploitation, political expediency, and the pervasive practice of greenwashing, revealing a complex web of complicity from Western Europe.
