Plot

Set against the backdrop of the turbulent 1990s in Korea, the narrative begins with the notorious Jijon-pa (Supreme Gangsters) case. Two detectives reflect on their experiences during the gang’s apprehension, shedding light on the chilling details surrounding the investigation and the subsequent death sentences. However, the film delves deeper, using the crime as a lens to explore significant events of the decade, such as the Seongsu Bridge and Sampoong Department Store tragedies, and the harsh government response to the May 18 Uprising. It ultimately connects the past to contemporary issues of power and justice in 2013 Korea.
