Plot

Själö, or 'the island of souls,' serves as a haunting reminder of a dark past where women labeled as societal outcasts were confined for observation and study. Once a closed institution, this Baltic Sea island now functions as a research center, yet its history lingers in the air. A young female scientist arrives to collect samples, but she finds herself surrounded by the whispers of those forgotten, with echoes of unsent letters resonating through the desolate corridors. The film intertwines the stark realities of the past with the pursuit of knowledge in the present.
