Plot

Gentrification is reshaping cities worldwide, with New York City facing some of the most severe consequences. As a proud Native New Yorker, the transformation of my cherished home into a playground for the affluent is deeply troubling. This documentary began before the pandemic, capturing the rampant corporate greed affecting local culture and community. I delve into the struggles of two at-risk neighborhoods—Queens and the Lower East Side—highlighting the efforts of dedicated activists committed to preserving their community's spirit amidst the looming threat of displacement. Their stories reveal the fight for cultural integrity in a changing urban landscape.
