Plot

Kaye, constrained by lifelong agoraphobia, has spent decades isolated in her parents’ home. She finds solace in the glamorous lives of classic film stars, adorning her walls with their images alongside those of her deceased family, creating a vibrant tapestry of nostalgia and fantasy. Through candid monologues, "Portrait of Kaye" reveals her journey toward self-discovery, influenced by her mother’s playful wit and father’s worries. At 74 and recently widowed, Kaye’s budding attraction to a younger neighbor beckons her to explore newfound personal and sexual liberties.
