Plot
In the struggling town of Castle Gate during the Great Depression, enigmatic millionaire Mr. Ribaldi takes residence in an abandoned mansion. Young Bonnie, an aspiring singer, finds herself working for the abrasive Ribaldi to help her family keep their home. As their relationship develops, Ribaldi, a talented musician, begins to mentor Bonnie in her singing. However, the town is in turmoil, with businesses collapsing under foreclosure, and the community begins to suspect that Ribaldi's wealth may be linked to their misfortunes. Tensions rise as Bonnie navigates her aspirations amidst the town's growing fears.
