Plot

Mr. Jo, affectionately known as "the man with the Buick," enjoys a beloved status in the quaint town of Honfleur. Beneath his charming exterior lies a darker truth; he's a notorious trafficker trying to escape his past by masquerading as a philanthropist, smuggling rubies under the guise of a charity for underprivileged children. His desire to win over a beautiful widow leads him back into a life of crime. As Inspector Menard uncovers Jo's hidden dealings, the townspeople are left shocked by the revelation of his true nature.
