Plot
In "Gran Torino," grumpy Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski finds himself at odds with his young Hmong neighbor, Thao Lor, after the teenager attempts to steal his beloved 1972 Gran Torino. Rather than seeking revenge, Walt takes it upon himself to mentor Thao, aiming to steer him away from a life of crime. As their relationship evolves, Walt confronts his own prejudices and learns the value of community and connection, ultimately influencing Thao's path while grappling with his own troubled past.
