Plot

In 1657, Fanny leads a subdued existence on a remote English farm, burdened by her domineering husband, John, and their small son. Their mundane life is disrupted when a young couple, Thomas and Rebecca, appear at their doorstep, claiming they’ve been robbed and seeking refuge. However, as Fanny's curiosity piqued, she begins to question the true identities and intentions of her unexpected guests.
