Plot

Captain Grace Garland, a distinguished U.S. veteran, comes back to her hometown after serving two tours in Afghanistan. Separated from her cherished K9 companion, she struggles to embrace the holiday spirit. Just weeks before Christmas, Grace finds herself stuck in River’s Crossing, where local judge Joe Peterson extends his hospitality by offering her shelter. Joe takes it upon himself to help Grace reconnect with the joys of the season, introducing her to the warmth of family, community, and perhaps even a new romance. Through his kindness, Grace embarks on a journey of healing and rediscovery.
