Plot
A quirky ensemble of British travelers boards the San Ferry Ann, setting sail for a chaotic weekend in France. From the moment they arrive, the campervan family, led by the bumbling Dad and Mum (David Lodge and Joan Sims), stirs up trouble, frequently crossing paths with the local Gendarme. Meanwhile, the mischievous Grandad (Wilfred Brambell) dives into antics with a wacky German ex-soldier (Ron Moody). Adding to the chaos is a flirtatious hitchhiker (Barbara Windsor), who captures the attention of a fellow traveler (Ronnie Stevens), leading to hilarious misadventures. By weekend's end, the French may be eager to bid adieu to these unruly tourists.
