Plot
Akira, a jazz-loving drifter, stumbles upon Gill, an injured African American soldier on the run after a deadly incident involving a white GI. Hiding out in a dilapidated church, they navigate their stark cultural differences and misunderstandings as they form an unlikely alliance. Determined to escape, Akira decides to help Gill flee toward the coast, all while evading the relentless pursuit of military police. Their journey becomes a tense exploration of friendship and survival against the backdrop of racial tension and societal turmoil.
