Plot
Lawyer Perry Mason arrives at the Laxter mansion late one night to amend invalid Peter Laxter's will, ensuring his granddaughter Wilma is disinherited and cannot marry the suspected gold-digger Doug. After a mysterious fire claims Peter's life, his grandsons, Sam and Frank, inherit under the condition that the old caretaker Schuster and his cat Clinker remain.
