Plot
Shannon, a determined college student, faces financial struggles that lead her to stop attending classes, unnoticed by most except her concerned counselor, Ellen. As Shannon’s absence raises alarms for Ellen, her worries are brushed off by professors, administrators, and even Shannon’s boyfriend, who dismiss the situation with stereotypes about students from underserved communities. Undeterred, Ellen delves deeper and stumbles upon a shocking trafficking ring preying on vulnerable students. Racing against time, she fights for support to not only rescue Shannon but also dismantle the insidious operation threatening others like her.
