Borrego (2022)

Plot

A young botanist settles in a remote desert town to investigate an invasive plant. During her research, she discovers a crashed plane and attempts to help, only to be kidnapped by a novice drug mule. Forced to navigate the harsh desert, she becomes a pawn in his dangerous mission. Meanwhile, the town's sheriff gets involved in the search for the botanist, as his headstrong daughter embarks on her own quest to rescue her. Complications arise with a local drug dealer hot on their trail, adding urgency to their fight for survival.
