Plot
Charlotte Castang, a 13-year-old from a bleak, impoverished neighborhood, yearns for adulthood. Orphaned by her mother’s death at birth, she navigates life with a boorish brother and a distant father. Isolated and discontent, her sole companion is Lulu, a 10-year-old girl battling illness, whom Charlotte often finds annoying. Stuck in her mundane existence, she fantasizes about a brighter future. Everything changes when she encounters Clara Bauman, a talented pianist whose presence opens new avenues of hope and inspiration for Charlotte, igniting her aspirations and challenging her outlook on life.
