Plot

In the aftermath of World War II, Antonia returns to her Dutch hometown with her daughter, Danielle, to claim a small farm left to her by her deceased mother. Embracing her new life, Antonia becomes part of a close-knit and eccentric community. Among her neighbors are the peculiar Crooked Finger, her hopeful admirer Bas, and later, her granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
