Popeye Meets Hercules (1948)

Plot

During the inaugural Olympics, Hercules, resembling an exaggerated Bluto, boasts about his strength, inviting anyone to match his impressive feats. Naturally, Popeye steps up to the challenge. They face off against various beasts, with Bluto showcasing his brute strength by skinning wild elephants while Popeye creatively transforms three lions into a cozy nest. The discus throw goes awry, launching Popeye into Hercules' grasp, while a javelin toss catapults him all the way to the moon. Hearing Olive's distress, Popeye seeks divine assistance from the goddess Spinachia, who sends him a can of spinach to fuel his rescue.
