Homeland (2014)

Plot

Jiro Sawada, a high school sophomore, finds his world upended by a wrongful accusation that forces him to leave his small Fukushima village. Following the devastation of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, the once-vibrant community lies deserted. Determined to reclaim his home, Jiro returns to the abandoned village, where he gradually reunites with his family members. Together, they seek to navigate the complexities of their past while confronting the haunting remnants of their former lives in a landscape forever altered by disaster.
