Plot

Bill Whipple, a carefree mechanic under the mentorship of MacDonald, believes he’s the ultimate driver and charmer. His infatuation with Pat Bannon leads to comedic attempts to win her over, but she remains unimpressed. In a twist, he tricks her into giving him a ride to the airport, only for her to take him on a terrifying flight. When disaster strikes mid-air, Bill heroically saves her, earning him media attention. This newfound fame leads to an offer to race in the Indianapolis 500, but betrayal awaits when Renny, the car's owner, schemes to take the wheel himself.
