Plot
In "Red Beard," Noboru Yasumoto, eager to secure a comfortable position as a personal doctor for a wealthy family, finds himself instead at a modest country clinic under the stern mentorship of Dr. Red Beard. Initially resistant and rebellious, Yasumoto's attitude shifts as he learns from Red Beard's wisdom and experience. As the seasoned doctor exposes him to the less glamorous realities of medicine, Yasumoto is tasked with caring for a prostitute saved from a nearby brothel, challenging his perceptions and deepening his understanding of compassion and responsibility in healthcare.
