Plot

Udaka, a burgeoning city grappling with post-war corruption, becomes the backdrop for a determined district attorney aiming to bring down the arrogant thug Katsumata. An anonymous tip unveils details surrounding the five-year-old suicide of a city council member, leading the D.A. to Tachibana, a man striving for redemption after serving time for the murder of his fiancée's rapist. Complicating matters, Keiko, the councilman’s daughter and ward of a powerful figure, is linked to Tachibana. As their fates intertwine, the investigation unravels a web of secrets and buried truths.
