Plot
Timid botanist student John juggles his job at the University Book Store with his secret admiration for the charming Julia. A mix-up leads to one of his letters reaching her, falsely claiming that he’s a fraternity member and a prominent track star. Excited by the prospect, Julia rushes to meet him, unaware of John’s true identity. Complications arise with her actual boyfriend, Spike, a real track athlete. Despite his fear, Julia employs some psychological tactics and a wrestling hold, convincing John to participate in the upcoming race, setting the stage for unexpected challenges.
