Plot

According to ancient lore, Earth is home to more than just humanity; two other powerful races coexist: the Makai, a demonic clan, and the Jujinkai, hybrids of man and beast. Every 3,000 years, a transcendent figure known as the "Choujin" (Overfiend) arises to restore harmony among these realms. In modern-day Japan, after centuries of searching, a Jujinkai named Amano Jyaku finds the Choujin's essence within the laid-back student Tatsuo Nagumo. Now, Amano, his sister Megumi, and their friend Kuroko must safeguard Tatsuo and his girlfriend Akemi Ito from the Makai, who see him as a malevolent force threatening all life.
