Plot

As World War II looms, German expatriate Kurt Müller, his American wife Sara, and their three children arrive at Sara's affluent mother's estate near Washington, DC. While they appear to be a typical family, Kurt is secretly embedded in the anti-Nazi resistance. Tension escalates when a Romanian count learns of Kurt's covert activities and attempts to blackmail him, putting the family in a precarious situation. The film explores themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the moral complexities faced by those caught between personal safety and the fight against tyranny.
