Phuong, An, and Nhu, three young Vietnamese women, flee their roles as technical trainees to seek a new life in Japan as undocumented immigrants. They turn to a broker for assistance, who leads them to a frigid fisherman's hut where they can stay in return for labor. Excited about their job and increased pay, their hopes are soon dashed when Phuong collapses in agony. An and Nhu rush her to a hospital, only to face a heartbreaking setback as they are denied entry due to their lack of identification.
