Plot

Fleeing the consequences of a murder, Manuel and his wife Rosa escape to the harsh, arid terrain of Northern Brazil known as the sertão. Here, they encounter a brutal and primitive world that tests their resilience. As they navigate this perilous landscape, they become entangled with a succession of intimidating characters who exert a powerful grip over their lives. Struggling for survival, the couple faces the harsh realities of their choices and the dark forces that surround them in this unforgiving environment.
