Plot

At daybreak, Kelsey Akioka treks across the breathtaking yet tumultuous Kalapana lava fields, capturing stunning photographs while burdened with heavy gear. He sets up a small tent to sell his work to indifferent tourists, but the effort leaves him drained by day's end. Returning home to his son and elderly father, Kelsey grapples with a revelation: his friend is abandoning his dreams for stability, prompting Kelsey to reevaluate his own life choices. As his inner turmoil seeps into family dynamics, he faces the pressing need to confront his frustrations and reassess his path.
