Plot
Mark, overwhelmed by years of debilitating depression, resolves to end his life, believing that no moral or spiritual argument can sway him from this decision. Isolated from others, he attempts to carry out his plan, but life continuously intervenes, thwarting his efforts. As he grapples with his despair, various individuals emerge, each trying to impart their own understanding of life's value and meaning. These encounters force Mark to confront his beliefs and question if any of these perspectives can reach him in time to alter his fate.
