Plot

Elmo is excited to celebrate Christmas in his inaugural holiday special, but he’s stumped on what to gift his cherished goldfish, Dorothy. His quest for the ideal present leads him on a journey through various global festivities, uncovering shared themes among Christmas, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa. Ultimately, a visit to the North Pole brings him face-to-face with Santa, who imparts wisdom about the essence of Christmas and inspires Elmo with the perfect idea for Dorothy’s gift. With warmth and cheer, Elmo learns that the spirit of giving is what truly matters during the holidays.
