Plot
Walter Stackhouse, a prosperous architect in 1960s New York, finds himself trapped in a troubled marriage with the beautiful yet troubled Clara. His yearning for liberation drives him to fixate on Kimmel, a suspect in the gruesome murder of his wife. As Walter's life becomes increasingly entangled with Kimmel's, a relentless detective zeroes in on what he believes is the true perpetrator.
